Whether you're struggling with everyday anxieties and dilemmas, or don't know where to turn, counselling provides a safe environment in which to explore your feelings

About me

About me

My name is Tamsin Kelly. I am a qualified counsellor, with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Level 4. I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), and I abide by its Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. My core training is in Person Centred therapy but I also draw upon other approaches as needed, including CBT.

I was a volunteer with Cruse, the UK's leading bereavement charity, for a number of years, working with people affected by bereavement.

My counselling training and experience, together with years of working as a teacher and in business, have given me the opportunity to work with and support people with a wide range of challenges and difficulties. I undergo regular training to keep my skills and knowledge up to date.

What I offer

What I offer

Reaching out for support can be daunting, but whether you are finding a significant life event, such as bereavement or divorce, overwhelming, or you’re struggling with everyday anxieties and don’t know where to turn, counselling can help. Perhaps you want to feel less anxious or stressed, or there are problems in your relationships or at work. Or perhaps you just need to be heard. Clients come to counselling with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, grief, depression, relationship problems, self esteem, stress and work related issues.

I provide a very supportive, calm, and non-judgemental space in which you can explore your feelings, thoughts and experiences in more depth than usually happens in everyday life, By helping you to look more closely at what really matters to you, together we can work towards finding a way forward.

What we cover in our sessions will be up to you – you are free to explore whatever is on your mind, and our sessions will go at your pace.

How I work

How I work

I offer adults both short and long term weekly counselling sessions. Face to face sessions take place at the Kingsmoor Clinic in Kingston Bagpuize, located within easy reach of Oxford, Abingdon and Witney, and easily accessible by car or public transport. Please visit the clinic’s website at www.kingsmoorclinic.co.uk for more details. I also offer online sessions, using Zoom, as well as telephone sessions.

I offer a free 30 minute introductory telephone session to make sure that we will be happy to work together. This initial session is an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have, and for me to explain a little more about how I work. At the end of the session, if you feel ready, I can book you in for further sessions at a time that is suitable for you, at a fee of £50 per 50-minute session.

My hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm.
